Designed around the Micro-Trains Line through girder bridge, our cut stone abutment set shows its age beautifully! The face texture of the stone is taken from an actual slate surface for added realism. The large cut stones are scale accurate and aged to show years of facing the elements.

The MTL bridge has a thin molded plate on each corner of the bridge representing a bridge shoe. We ve designed our abutment taking this bridge shoe into account so the connecting track pieces sit flat with a slight bridge "stop" for easier bridge placement.

We began by laying scale accurate forming boards over this classic abutment design. Then came time for aging in the way of cracks, erosion and lots of exposure to the elements! Each abutment in this set has its own unique aged pattern and patched areas to add to the overall realism.

This 3-piece portal set includes two unique tunnel liners that sit flush to the rear of the portal and extend 2.5" beyond the portal face. We use natural rock casts to create these pieces and to have them join with minimal visible seams. The tunnel liners have a flat bottom and ends to form a simple butt joint with the rear of the portal.

We wanted to give this piece an older look but of course, many modern railroads still travel through portals just like this. If you'd like to run a double stack intermodal car through, once you attach the tunnel liners to the portal face just shim the entire piece up by .020" or so.

We like to use diffused LEDs for lighting, as the diffused LEDs throw a much softer light and don't create harsh shadows. You get a more even and natural glow with these diffused lights. Just like our surface mount LEDs, installation is quick and easy!

At just 1mm at its widest measurement, these LEDs are awfully small even by Z scale standards! A little extra care is called for when handling the twisted copper wire this LED is attached to. Product information: Few things bring Z scale scenes to life like street lights, and we ve just made it easier than ever to bring them to your layout! We solder, twist and heat shrink the extra-fine wires from these lights to our own custom twisted insulated wire. The result is a light fixture that is ready to install.

Each light fixture comes with its own Quick Connect wire connector with an inline resistor installed, making these lights become a heck of a lot easier to work with. We also test all lights after our wire assembly is completed.

By including the appropriate resistor on the Quick Connect wire assembly rather than the wire connected to the light, you can drill a much smaller hole in your layout, and the bases of the street lights then cover that hole for a slicker appearance. A 3/32" drill bit is suggested, then carefully feed the light s wire down the hole, connect to the Quick Connect, and plug it in to the Rokuhan A016 or our own Ztrains ZTR-251.

Product information: This is a simple 2-piece set cast in white resin. Assembly is quick and easy with a thin bead of epoxy. This design is based loosely on the great concrete snow sheds of the Donner Pass / Truckee, California area. Our resin snow shed is a fine accessory to add to any Z scale mountain scene if you're modeling the snowy or the summer season.

With so much surface detail built in, weathering is easy. Placement is easy too, just place the open side of the shed next to your mountain or hill and you're all set for the heavy snows. If you're modeling a non-snow scene, you can add rock debris and soil to the top of the shed for a convincing look.

We take care of all the flash removal from these two pieces here in our shop and give these two pieces a thorough washing to remove any mold release. We also apply a coat of Dupli-Color automotive adhesion promoter to make painting and weathering easier! All you need to do is to epoxy the two pieces together, paint and weather!

Product information: The Grassinator is a static grass applicator designed to help you get the best possible results when applying static grass to your scenic projects. We ve included the 12VDC power supply, a power extension cable and a selection of lids for more precise grass application and to make your static grass experience as much fun as it should be!

We've powered the Grassinator with the included 12VDC power adapter rather than with a 9VDC battery because it provides maximum consistent power without worrying how much juice your battery has left. You don t want to be working with a weakened power source when applying static grass!

To make sure you have the freedom to move around when grassing, we ve also included a 10 extension cable for your 12V DC adapter s 3 long cable. This gives you a total of 13 of freedom from wall wart to Grassinator .

The alligator clip on the Grassinator may be attached to the included potter s needle. We find this potter s needle to be a great choice over a regular nail as it s easy to handle (because it has a handle), it has a sharp point so it more easily sticks in to your scenery, and it leaves a smaller hole when removing it from your newly grassed area.
