These 2-bay covered hoppers are grey with black lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1957 for ATSF, these 2,006 cubic-foot capacity hoppers have a 77-ton capacity. Small, two-bay hoppers were often used for relatively dense commodities, such as cement powder, sand, potash, and other fine-grained materials and usually had a similar loaded weight to larger and longer cars.

These 2-bay covered hoppers are mineral brown with white lettering and run on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1954 as part of series 407053-407208 these cars were designed to allow railroads to deliver smaller quantities of goods more economically than with larger cars. With the merger of BN and Santa Fe, BNSF acquired a large fleet of these cars.

These 2-bay covered hoppers are grey with yellow lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. Southern Pacific was a large Class 1 railroad that existed from 1865 to 1998 and operated from the West coast to the Midwest through many states. Through a series of mergers, SP was absorbed by Union Pacific in the late 1990s.

Built in 1957 by Pullman-Standard’s Butler, Pennsylvania Shops, these H34C class hoppers were 2,003 cubic-feet in capacity. These cars were primarily used for dense granular commodities, such as cement and certain grains.

These 2-bay covered hoppers are yellow with blue herald and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1968 by Pullman-Standard for Baltimore & Ohio, these hoppers have a 2,700 cubic-foot capacity and were used primarily for dense granular commodities like cement. They were later rolled into Chessie System, and later, CSX.

These 2-bay covered hoppers are grey with black lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1966, they were used for high density powered and granular commodities, like cement and sand. The St. Louis-San Francisco Railway, or “Frisco,” was founded in 1876 and was absorbed by Burlington Northern in 1980.

These 2-bay covered hoppers are grey with black lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. Built for Pennsylvania Railroad in 1955 this car belonged to class H34b. Repainted in 1968 after the formation of Penn Central, the car lasted another 20 years before being scrapped.

These 2-bay covered hoppers are grey with black lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1954, these 70-ton PS2 hopper were used to transport cement and other high density powered and granular commodities. Serviced in the mid-1960s, and the new “billboard scheme” applied, they were used until the 1980s.
