These 60’ bulkhead flat cars are painted yellow with black and white logo, black lettering and white reflectors. They were built in January 2001 by Gunderson (now The Greenbrier Companies) and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. They were built AAR Class FBS, denoting Specialty Bulkhead flat cars—equipped with fixed, or permanently attached movable bulkheads or ends, a minimum of three feet in height and flat floor for general commodity lading.

Built 01/1978 on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The Western Pacific® Railroad was formed in 1903 as an attempt to break the nearmonopoly the Southern Pacific RR had on rail service into Northern CA. WP’s Feather River Route directly competed with SP’s portion of the Overland Route for rail traffic between Salt Lake/Ogden, UT and Oakland, CA, for nearly 80 years. In 1983, WP was acquired by the Union Pacific Railroad®.
