Painted blue with gray sides with blue, red and white logos. Built by North American Car Corporation of Chicago and leased to Kerr-Mcgee Corporation. Service date of June '68; runs the Midwest on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Founded in 1929 at Ada, Oklahoma, the Kerr-McGee Corporation was an energy company involved in the exploration and production of oil and gas resources. Kerr-McGee acquired American Potash & Chemical Corporation in 1967 and the operation became known as Trona Chemicals, named for the town of Trona.

Painted green with logo, ‘Newsprint Service Only’ shield; lettering all in white. Built in Jan 1965 by Hawker Siddeley Canada Lmtd., Trenton, Nova Scotia, serviced in May 1988; on Roller Bearing trucks. This series was built and delivered to the CP in brown with the CP ‘script’ logo. In July '68 the Multimark symbol with the Action Green became the designated color for the box cars of the newsprint fleet. Twenty years later, the Multimark was dropped and the color scheme remained.

These 50’ standard box cars with plug door are yellow with black lettering, brown ends and aluminum roof. Built in 1966 as part of series 92861-92880 these bear the PRR rather than FGEX reporting marks due to a labor agreement with the PRR crewman for repair work.

These 50’ box cars with plug doors are painted brown with large yellow WP ‘Western Way’ logos as wells as the PC loader logos. They were built in October 1959 by Pullman-Standard and run on Roller Bearing trucks. These PS-1 orders came with slightly wider 8-foot 7-inch plug doors and roller bearing trucks from several manufacturers.

These are standard box cars, 50’ in length, painted brown and bearing the Chicago Great Western ‘Lucky Strike’ logo. They were built in August 1963, serviced in September 1967, and run on Bettendorf trucks. All but the first two cars in this series were assigned to the Agent, CGW, St. Paul Minnesota. They were equipped with Keystone Cushion underframes and DF2 equipment from Evans.

This 50’ standard box car with plug door was built in 1963 by Pullman Standard as part of series 56300-56499. It was serviced and repainted in 1972 with the standard black Norfolk and Western scheme. By August 1979, it had lost its roof walks and full length ladders.

These 50’ Standard box cars with plug door are painted yellow with aluminum roof and black ends. Built in 1940 at U.P.’s Omaha shop as part of series 499000-499299, they run on Bettendorf trucks. Used to ship shorter distances than mechanical reefers, these cars featured single plug doors to help seal in pre-cooled merchandise.

These 50’ standard box cars with plug doors are mineral brown with orange doors and white circle cross herald, and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1955, as part of series 6000-6299, ATSF used these cars for temperature-critical commodities across the West until at least the 1980s.

These 50’ standard box cars with plug doors are brown with silver feather and lettering and run on Bettendorf trucks. Western Pacific was a Class I railroad in the United States and was formed in 1903 to attempt to break up the near-monopoly held by Southern Pacific in the California region.

With lights hung and Christmas day near, Micro-Mouse and the family load up the car with gifts and the Christmas cheese-tree and head to Grandmother’s house. After a long winter drive they arrive at Grandmother’s warm, cozy home for the holiday.
