These 50’ gondolas with fishbelly sides and drop ends were built in August 1957 by Pullman Standard. They were painted red with white lettering and black and white herald. They are part of a 200 car fleet. They were the first ones purchased by the GN to haul fabricated steel components. Gondolas were ideal for this purpose due to their low center of gravity and ease of loading and unloading. They are equipped with roller bearing trucks
