There is only 40 of these special 2-packs created so please adjust your orders taking this into consideration. This Southern Pacific 2-pk. features one Aluminum and one Steel.
Years ago FT made a SOUTHERN PACIFIC Cylindrical Hopper which represented an Aluminum Covered Hopper car. This round we've made the Steel version, and combined the two models in a "Special" Collector 4-pk. with all new Reporting Numbers. These covered hoppers would have been used from the 1960's through the present for chemicals and plastics and the like. Of course, because of SP's endless miles of trackage, these cars would have been found all throughout the South and Southwestern USA as well as up and down the West Coast and even into Mexico! A great Z Scale model for a large cross-section of USA modelers!
